Splice lookin for a mate

Splice padded from his spot on his branch and settled down on a bunch of moss hoping to find lunch

occ: who's Splice? Is it Solstice?

Occ: lol woops thanks and he's a leopard,yes it's solstice

occ: OK, thankies.

Cassie watched the black jaguar warily as he padded down from his perch on one of the tree branches.

When solace had heard a move in the grass a little ways off he jumped fining himself over a punie rabbit he killed it unsatisfied

Cassie wrinkled her nose as the jaguar killed and ate a tiny little rabbit. There was no way he would be satisfied with that. She wouldn't, and she was half his size. She pressed herself closer against the tree branch, lest he spot her and make her his next meal, but kept her eyes on him warily.

Once finished with the rabbit he hunted again and found a fawn stalking and jumping as soon as it smelt him jumped and with a swift bite to the neck killed it and started eating it

Cassie leaned forward slightly as he killed the fawn. She was so hungry! And the fawn smelled so good! Cautiously, she climbed silently down the tree and warily approached the jaguar, low to the ground, ears flat against her skull, to let him know she wasn't a threat.

Solstice was to buissy eating to pay attention to the leopard but he knew she was there

Cassie cocked her head at the jaguar and stopped moving. She didn't want him to think of her as a threat. "Excuse me?"

Solstice looked up "yes?" he asked her with curiousity

Cassie hesitated, unsure how he would react. "I'm....really hungry, and I'm....not any good at hunting." she told him, embarrassed at having to admit it.

Cassie blinked, surprised. She hadn't expected that. She moved forwards cautiously, in case it was a trap. "Thankyou." she started eating, but kept an eye on him, her body tense, ready to bolt.

"it's not worth spilling blood so you can relax" solstice said looking in the other direction

Cassie glanced at him and, ignoring her instincts, which were still yelling out 'DANGER!', relaxed her body. She stood up a little straighter and raised her ears again, trying to erase the fearful feeling.

"who are you any way?" solstice asked her

"My name's Cassie." Cassie replied. "I was separated from my parents before they could finish teaching me to hunt, and got into some trouble with a pack of wolves a couple of days ago. Then I found myself here."

"oh well I could teach you" solstice said with a look of sympathy

Cassie looked at him, her eyes widening. "Seriously? That would be great!"

"ya of coarse" he said to her "but first you have to gain your strength" he said indicating the fawn

"Of course." Cassie muttered, going back to eating.
