Helping Cassie

Solstice had promised Cassie that he'd teach her how to hunt and they were meeting in the arena

Cassie trotted into the arena happily. She was looking forward to this. Last night she hadn't been able to get to sleep, she was so excited. It was like on the night before your birthday when you can't get to sleep to save your life. She spotted Solstice and ran over to him. "How do we start?" She asked, sitting down in front of him, so she wouldn't appear too eager.

"we start with that pilee of leafs" solstice said seeing how excited she was but not mentioning it

Cassie forced herself to stay still as she peered at the pile of leafs inquisitively. "What do I do?"

"you stalk and jump on it like any kit would do playing" soliste said

Cassie nodded and looked at the leafs. She lowered her body and prepared to pounce. She pounced, but took off too hard, going over the leaves and landing on the other side. "Ow."

"you ok?" soloist asked padding over to Cassie

"Yeah." Cassie replied happily. "I was just a little bit too excited. I'll try again."

"that would be good just try to take a deep but silent breath befor attacking your prey" solist said backing away from the pile

Cassie went a little way away from the pile of leaves and crouched down. She took a deep breath to evaporate her excitement, and pounced. She landed on the leaves this time, but still a little way too far forward.

"that's a little better just try not putting all your power into it" he said nodding

Cassie nodded and tried again. This time she landed properly on the leaves.

"good job f you keep that up you'll be a top hunter" he said "keep it up a few more times then well practice on real prey"

Cassie grinned at the compliment. She tried pouncing on the leafs again, on landed on them properly again.

"come on" solist said getting up and padding out to a forest area

Cassie followed Solstice, wondering what she would have to do next.

Soloist sat down in a liitle area "now we hunt real prey" he said

Cassie looked at him. "Really? Awesome!"

"uses really now go I'll be right behind don't look for me" he said padding into the bushes

ooc: Er, what?

ic: Cassie hesitated, uncertain

Occ:I'm so sorry I typed "go hunt I will follow you" I'm so sorry (stupid iPod)

Ic:"go" he said

ooc: oh OK.

Cassie padded into the bushes, looking around uncertainly.

Solstice padded around in the shadows and watched Cassie hoping for her to do some hunting

Cassie sniffed at the air, wondering where all the prey was. Nothing.

Solstice sniffed bringing in all the sweet smells of the forest but like Cassie could scent no prey "hmm" he wondered and chose to do something unplanned for mainly for fun and jumped out and landed on caddies bavk
